If you have read Urdu digests, this story is a staple-The second generation has some other choices, calls off wedding/engagement and moves abroad (Naveed Ali and Khursheed). Within the first five minutes, I knew what will be the story of this drama and I was like: so dated. The episode was a good first episode-enough exposition, enough masala to keep us hooked. The two talk in Urdu thinking that Kim doesn’t know Urdu (so typical), and the episode ends as Kim speaks her first Urdu sentence (so typical). We see a melodramatic scene between Naveed and Abba Ji as Naveed apologizes for his deeds Kim overhears the conversation. Iqbal doesn’t want to meet Naveed, so she remains in her room.ĭaani tries to impress Kim, while Suraiya asks her brother to keep his emotions in check. The father-daughter duo gets a cold/luke-warm welcome at home. Dawood doesn’t like this western-outfit donning girl, either (so typical). Judging by the appearance, Kim thinks Dawood is a terrorist (so typical). We see the “bhai jaan” doing ablution and then offering namaz. Daani suggests that “bhai jaan” should do it. Then, we see Basharat asking Daani to pick up the guests from the airport.
